Which Machine to Recycle Plastic?

Reference guide

Plastic recycling machines

Choosing the right plastic recycling machine depends on your material, contamination level and target output. Wondering which machine to recycle plastic? Start with the three-stage chain: shredder, washer, and pelletizer.

Shredding and size reduction

If you process bulky rigid plastic, pipes, purgings or tangled film, a single or double shaft shredder reduces the material to a manageable size. Film and soft plastic need the shear cutting of a single shaft design with a hydraulic pusher.

Washing and separation

For contaminated bottles, film and woven bags, a washing line removes labels, glue, dirt and other residues. PET bottles need hot washing and float-sink separation; film uses friction washing and squeeze drying.

Pelletizing

Clean flakes are converted into uniform, sale-ready pellets on a granulator or pelletizing line. PET flakes require crystallization and IV-preserving extrusion, while PE/PP film works well on a cutter-compactor line.
