What Is a PET Bottle Label Remover and How Does It Work?
Reference guide
A PET bottle label remover strips the labels from bottles before crushing, so the labels do not become a contaminant in the flake stream. It is one of the first cleaning steps in a PET bottle washing line.
How it works
Bottles pass through a rotating drum or blade system that tears or brushes the labels off the bottle surface. Loose labels and label dust are then separated, keeping the downstream crusher and washing stages cleaner.
Why it matters
Removing labels early reduces the impurity load that friction washers and float-sink tanks must handle, improving flake purity and lowering the risk of label residue blocking screens and filters.
